Things to do in Sorrento, Italy

Sorrento is a breathtaking little town on the Sorrentine peninsula, the town of lemon trees. The home of the famous Italian drink, the Limoncello.

A charming, colorful place on top of the cliffs, facing the Bay of Naples, with all its perfection, Sorrento is a must-visit town in Campania!

The elevation is around 50 meters, while at the seaside you can find just the port and a few beaches. The easiest way to get to Sorrento if you’re coming from Naples is with a ferry boat.

Then you can either take a taxi, a bus, use the elevator or you can just walk up to the town. The center is lined by busy narrow alleys, with many amazing restaurants and shops.

You can enjoy the breathtaking view from the side of the cliffs at Villa Communale Park, walk under the orange trees on Corso Italia and watch to the amazing street artists in the historic center.

Sorrento has amazing nightlife as well! Many clubs, bars, pubs, and open-air discos are available to really live up a warm Italian night!

The lemon town is on the other side of the peninsula, about 30 minutes driving from the Amalfi Coast. The distance is not that big, but the roads lead up to the top of the hills and lead all the way down on the side of the cliffs to Positano.

Things to do in Positano, Italy

The magical Positano!

Positano is a worldwide famous little Italian cliffside village on the Amalfi coast. Tiny charming streets, cute buildings covered with colorful flowers, and an amazing view of the sea, the cliffs, and the colorful town. That’s Positano.

It’s a very popular summer destination, and due to its small size, it can be really crowded and annoying in this period! But still, even with 40°C and thousands of people around, Positano has its pure magic that will make you forget everything else!

Walking down tiny alleys to the seaside, you’ll find many restaurants, bars, and beautiful shops as well as Positano’s lovely small beach, where you can spend a perfect day under the Italian sun. Surrounded by the sea and enjoying the sun, don’t forget the best summer drink, the Aperol Spritz!
